You will learn practical skills and management tools to give you the confidence and knowledge to perform in your job and to evaluate the work of others. You will also learn how to facilitate effective communication in your team and provide your team members with the guidance and support that they need to excel.
This program is for people who may already be working as a supervisor or coordinator and may have a qualification in a technical area, but require the management skills to help their organisation achieve a competitive advantage.

As a student, you will receive a study guide, which contains information and activities that develop the skills and knowledge pertaining to each module. Participants in online modules have access to their study guide online. The study guide contains the following:
The activities included in each study guide give you the opportunity to put your learning into practice, by investigating policies and procedures in your workplace and discussing them with colleagues. To enhance your learning, you can discuss your responses with other participants in the course and the online-tutor via e-Communities.
For each module you must complete an assessment task that requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge features in that module.
Each module is linked to a list of resources that you may find useful in completing specific activities or to follow up in areas that interest you. These include book references, journals, articles, websites and other information.
Units of this program can be delivered in-house for organisations as intensive short courses and a Statement of Attainment will be issued on successful completion of individual units. If all required units are successfully completed, the student will be awarded a Diploma of Management.
Upon attaining the Diploma of Management (BSB51107), you have the option to continue studies towards higher education. If you meet the minimum entry requirement of our postgraduate program, you can gain credit for the Employer-Based Unit (Unit 302). Further information on pathways.
Participants will need to be fluent in the English language to benefit from enrolling in these courses.

Participants entering the program without this access will be unable to submit their assessment requirements for the program.

Recognition of prior learning (or RPL) is the acknowledgment of a person's skills and knowledge acquired through previous training, work or life experience.
