Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning (or RPL) is the acknowledgment of a person's skills and knowledge acquired through previous training, work or life experience.

This process may result in a student being exempt from selected modules, thereby shortening the length of their chosen course.

Recognition of Prior Learning can be gained by any of the following means:

• study (including courses completed through adult education classes or training programs at work);
• work experience (including both work that is paid and unpaid); and
• life experience (for example leisure pursuits or voluntary work).

What matters in obtaining recognition of prior learning is that the knowledge and skills you have gained help to meet the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the modules for which you are seeking credit.

English Language Competency

Participants will need to be fluent in the English language to benefit from enrolling in these courses.

Internet Access

It is mandatory for participants to have access to both the internet and email.

Participants entering the program without this access will be unable to submit their assessment requirements for the program.
